As the founder and head of the prestigious Mamodiagnostické centrum Waltrovka, he has played a key role in advancing innovation in his field. In an interview for the “AI in the Hands of Doctors” series, he shared his perspective on how artificial intelligence is improving diagnostic processes and patient outcomes.
“My role is to help pave the way for artificial intelligence and new technologies,” he says, emphasising the importance of innovation in mammographic screening.
Mamodiagnostické centrum Waltrovka has long been a pioneer in the implementation of advanced diagnostic technologies. The centre offers patients the option of a third, AI-based reading of their mammograms—an approach that has the potential to improve diagnostic accuracy and provide patients with greater confidence in their results.
During the interview, he also stressed that technology does not replace human expertise, but rather serves as a critical support tool, enabling physicians to focus on what truly matters: patient care.
