Carebot AI CXR now automatically detects and localizes common external devices on chest X-rays, including tubes, catheters, drains and pacemakers. The update brings clearer documentation of devices directly into the reporting workflow, supporting safer communication and more efficient daily practice in acute and inpatient care.
Carebot has released a new version of Carebot AI CXR that adds automatic detection and localization of common external devices on chest X-ray. The update supports identification of endotracheal tubes, central venous catheters, pleural and mediastinal drains, and pacemakers.
The goal of this update is to improve day-to-day usability in clinical practice, especially in acute care and inpatient workflows. In these settings, external devices are frequently present on chest X-rays and need to be clearly identified and described as part of safe reporting and clinical communication.
The detected devices are integrated directly into Carebot’s reporting workflow alongside existing pathology outputs. This allows radiologists and clinicians to review AI findings in one place and use them as part of routine reporting without changing their established workflows.
Carebot AI CXR provides full-text radiology report generation and customizable DICOM Structured Reports. Reporting templates can be adapted to local reporting preferences and are available in more than 20 languages, supporting integration into existing clinical documentation processes.
