New additions to our portfolio, the rollout of AI across nearly 400 Polish hospitals, and early cancer detection. These were the topics we brought to the 47th Czech Radiology Congress, held from 20 to 22 September at Prague’s O2 universum. For Carebot, this is one of the most important events of the year. It gives us the opportunity to share our progress with Czech radiologists and discuss what they need in everyday clinical practice.
We return to the Czech Radiology Congress regularly. As our team grows and our portfolio expands, so does the range of topics we bring to Prague. This year, alongside the latest developments in our solutions, we focused on a broader question: how to make artificial intelligence accessible across an entire healthcare system. Poland provided a concrete example.
At home, we stay closely connected to the clinical community in which Carebot began. Meeting Czech radiologists allows us to show how far we have come while listening to those who already use our solutions or are considering introducing them. These conversations are just as valuable to our development as presenting the latest technology.
What we bring to everyday practice
At our booth, we demonstrated the new capabilities of our solutions and how they can support radiologists when interpreting images. The focus was on practical use and integration into everyday clinical workflows.
The congress gives these demonstrations valuable context. Reviewing specific cases with clinicians allows us to explore what each tool can offer, answer questions, and gather feedback. This exchange of experience helps guide our further development.
What Poland’s national tender means for Czech radiology
Another central topic was Poland’s national tender, which Carebot won together with Synektik. Our technology for analysing chest radiographs and mammograms will gradually become available to nearly 400 hospitals through a single national platform.
The scale of this project raises an important question for Czech healthcare: how can a radiologist at a regional hospital gain access to the same technological support as a colleague at a major medical centre? Poland’s approach offers a path towards coordinated AI adoption, without requiring every hospital to secure its own budget and develop a separate implementation project.
For Carebot, this is valuable experience that we want to bring into the professional discussion at home.
From technology to clinical findings
Our presence also included two talks in the scientific programme. Jakub Dandár focused on early cancer detection with AI support. Through case studies of suspicious findings on chest radiographs, Daniel Kvak explored the distinction between a shadow, overlapping structures, and a true lesion.
Both topics reflect the role of AI as a second pair of eyes for the radiologist. Clinical images and individual cases provide the clearest way to explain where this support can help and how to work with its findings.
Thank you to everyone who visited us during the congress. Open conversations, clinical questions, and experience from individual departments are what make the Czech Radiology Congress so important to us. They help keep Carebot’s development closely connected to what matters: radiologists’ work and the care of their patients.
